Join the Austin Scottish Rite

While there is no Masonic degree more important than that of Master Mason, there is a long tradition – almost as old as Freemasonry – of “high degrees” that expand upon and elaborate the teachings and lessons of the first three degrees. The Scottish Rite degrees teach a series of moral lessons culminating in the 32°, Master of the Royal Secret. Membership in the Austin Scottish Rite is open to anyone who is a Master Mason in Good Standing in any Grand Lodge which is recognized by the Grand Lodge of Texas.  There are no territorial boundaries in the Southern Jurisdiction.

We welcome you to the Austin Scottish Rite.  We take in new members during our Reunion weekend.  We look forward to receiving your petition to join!

Whether you have been a Master Mason for less than a year, or 20 years, you will never forget the experience!

Download the petition, fill it out, and email it back or hand it to the General Secretary
